What exactly is financial coaching?
Coaching is education, planning, and accountability. You and your coach build a budget, a debt payoff plan, savings automations, and a 90-day roadmap — then you meet weekly to keep it moving. It's the difference between reading a book about money and having someone in your corner while you actually do it.
Is Darrul a financial advisor?
No. Darrul is not a registered investment adviser, broker, or fiduciary, and we don't provide investment advice. We coach and educate. For investing, mortgages, and insurance, we introduce you to independent licensed professionals.
Will you tell me what to invest in?
No — that's licensed advice we don't give. What we do is make sure you understand your money so well that a licensed adviser conversation becomes productive instead of intimidating. And if you don't have an adviser, we can introduce you to one.
Is my financial data safe?
We treat your data like a tax preparer has to: statements go to a secure client portal (never email attachments), access is limited, and we keep a written information-security program. We never ask for your bank logins, and you can redact anything you're not comfortable sharing.
How much does coaching cost?
The 12-week 1:1 program is $2,500, or three monthly payments of $900. Enrollment is application-only, and if we don't think we can help, we'll tell you before you pay anything.
What if I can't afford coaching right now?
Start with the free guides — they're genuinely useful, not teasers. If money is upside-down tight (collections, eviction risk, weeks behind), tell us on the application. We'll point you to free resources that can help, even if coaching isn't the answer today.
Do you fix credit?
We teach you how credit works and how to dispute errors yourself — that's education, and it's powerful. We don't promise score increases or operate as a credit-repair organization. Anyone who guarantees a specific score change is breaking the law, not helping you.
How is this different from a budgeting app?
Apps give you a dashboard. Dashboards don't text you on a bad day, celebrate your first $1,000 buffer, or adjust the plan when life changes. Darrul is a human coach (with AI-assisted tools behind the scenes) and a system designed around your actual life.
Can my partner join?
Yes — money is a team sport. Partners are welcome on calls for no extra fee; the plan belongs to the household.
What if I want to cancel?
Coaching agreements spell out the refund terms clearly before you pay. If something isn't working, tell us early — fixing it beats quitting it.
